It covers the entire windshield of my Tesla 3 and protects the dashboard and computer from the hot Florida sun. I tried without the suction cups, but the visors alone wouldn't hold it in place - the visors (they're small) are probably more to blame than the curtain. It's not flimsy at all and I hope it lasts a long time. Suction cups are easy to attach and detach. I love that I can put it on and take it off and fold it without getting out of the car. It folds up and I just throw it in the back seat. I used to try an umbrella that broke the first time I used it. I also tried a two-piece design that folds up and packs into a suitcase, but that didn't work without getting out of the car - not an option if it suddenly rains. Overall this is a great item and I am very happy with my purchase.
