Ideal for black cast iron and stainless steel!

Cleaning a black iron means heating it HOT and then rinsing it under very hot water. This scraper keeps your hands off the hot iron so you can scrape off anything that's stuck to it. Between that and the colored pencil, you're done. Never soap! Rounded edges help clean the edges of pots. I burned an onion in a stainless steel skillet and it was flawless. This is my second purchase - one for home and one for camping.
