This is a direct replacement for the original o-ring on my 99 vstar 650 classic. Please note that no o-ring is supplied and you must order the o-ring separately. I had the typical horrible oil leak that most puddings have and ordered that and an o-ring, assuming my original 20+ year old block had finally cracked. . I was pleasantly surprised when the original was fine, it was just an o-ring. still replaced with a new block and o-ring and kept the original for emergencies. I have a week and 500 miles on the bike and no leaks.
