Clear and easy to install. - Hole saw included

This is a fantastic little rear view camera. It's not the fanciest or most feature-rich camera, but for the price it does what you expect it to and does it impeccably. I connected this camera to a rear view mirror/monitor of an old model car. There was no camera. Everything works and should. Pressing the reversing lights activates the camera when needed, and the resolution is clearly visible on such a small screen. The instructions are clear and simple, but I'd like to add a few things that might help. First off, it's great that the camera comes with an 18.5mm hole saw as most people don't have one handy. Nevertheless, a few tips…. The camera cover unscrews so you can use the one that fits your installation method (mount or flush). I was concerned that over time the camera might loosen enough to cause the image to tilt, so I suggest putting a few drops of Loctite on the threads of the camera cover after final installation. When you flush mount it, there's no gasket or gasket either. There are several ways to seal the rig, like silicone and caulk, but I think the best is probably butyl tape. It's forgiving, doesn't dry out instantly, doesn't smear and if you ever need to remove it, it's no problem. And if you are using a bracket I would suggest using both products as well as sheet metal screws. Lock and cover the opening to prevent water ingress. Hope that helps.
