Review on 💡 Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 RAM - Black, 3466MHz, C16 1.35V, PC4-27700 by Eddie Breezy

Doesn't manually push XMP or 3466 on a Gigabyte X570 Master Build NOT on QVL

This RAM is rated highly by reviewers and some even mention overclocking to insanely high speeds (that really sounds like a farce or by Gigabyte tout) . Building a brand new 3900x+X570 system based on AMD. Gigabyte Aorus X570 Master, 3900x CPU, Vega 64 GPU, Nanoxia Depp Silence 3 Mid-Chassis, Corsair 1TB NVME MP600 drive, Seasonic Prime 750 Titanium PSU and finally 2x Corsair 3466 DDR sticks. The system failed to boot with XMP in Windows and the system defaults to the slowest speed JEDEC #16. As far as I can tell, these sticks aren't on any "QVL-enabled" manufacturer's list, so they'll tell you to kick rocks. I called corsair and got a guy in the philippines with glee at my back who told me they support old support tuning ram for xmp settings and don't offer any support other than this. A true "world class service" as advertised. yes, that's right - what a pot. After much research and testing, the RAM ran to 3200, but it still crashed after an hour on my first stress test running Prime 95. I'm not 14 anymore and I want to spend hours and hours just getting the system up and running. and spend my nights researching and testing. Gigabyte and Corsair do not offer support if you have problems with this RAM. It might work better with Intel based systems, but I suspect it doesn't work well or that particular speed/model will work with AMD based systems from all manufacturers. The error check did not find any errors. Conclusion: The 3466 memory has a strange speed and is not supported by any manufacturer. The support is terrible. Won't work without fuss and at advertised speeds. Do not buy.
