Review on 2018 2021 Crosstrek 2017 2021 Impreza Weather by Brandon Carr

Reasonable quality for the price

I don't like spending a lot of money on floor mats. I usually buy from an auto parts store for $30-40 and try to find one with decent ribbing to hold all the crap that comes off the shoe when it gets muddy. I just got a 2022 Subaru Crosstrek and wanted to try something wider. I can't bring myself to pay for WeatherTech mats so I'm going to try them. In short, they fit me well enough to keep them. My 4 stars are based on my cheap base weighted by what I think you can expect cheap. Winter will probably give me a better idea of whether I've managed to balance cheapness and functionality. What I like: They fit well and cover the entire floor. They will be easy to clean. The price was about what I was willing to pay ($80). What I'm interested in: They're thin and I can't rate their durability, but I'm not willing to pay double for more durable mats either (at least for now). I like lots of texture on the floor mats so my shoes don't sit in the mud/mud; they don't have it. The smooth rubber/plastic looks like it will scratch/scratch slightly. I know they are car mats. i am picky and cheap. It sucks. I don't like that the back mats have a flap that only drapes down the middle. You can slide it under the second rug, but then whatever spills on it will fall under that rug. Also, it looks like I could just cut it off and not damage the integrity of the mat it's attached to.

Pros
  • Floor mats
Cons
  • Expensive
