My litters (aged 10 and 9) were traveling out of state with this carrier for the first time. The carrier was large enough to hold both dogs (12 pounds and 7 pounds). They could sit, stand and lie comfortably. My boys were able to adjust to their liking and a lot of air flowed through the stretcher. I also kept the bag in front of me because my little boy is worried. The top window was great because he could stick his head out and not be so tense. The carrier barely fit under an American Airlines domestic flight, but it did fit nicely under a Delta seat. I have attached photos so you can see for yourself. My boys liked being pushed against the window closest to me, they weren't crammed into the stretcher. I definitely recommend this bag!
