fairly stable, works with Note 5

I found it quite stable when using it with the vent clip and my Samsung Note 5 without a case. I was charging it at the time, and maybe the charging cable touching the dash under the phone added a bit of stability. My kid used one of the metal plates that came with it between his phone (also a Samsung but one of the cheap Galaxy ones) and the case and they report it worked quite well too.
