Review on Blue Drilling ๐Ÿ”จ Crack Hammer by Estwing by Dale Rylander

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Thor wished he had that hammer.

This hammer is just about perfect when it comes to rotary hammers. As a rotary hammer, this hammer shines brightest when driving chisels, stakes or very big hits, but it's also great for demolition work and, to a lesser extent, metalworking. This 4-pound hammer's head hits like a mini sledgehammer, and the longer handle means you get more power at the expense of accuracy. I've used this hammer for metalworking, although it's not really intended as a blacksmith's hammer, also because the handle isn't the same size and shape so you can't comfortably hold it closer to your head. The handle is very tacky, oil resistant, and durable, and I'll probably replace it with leather once it wears out (ten years from now). The all-metal shank means it probably takes three life blows to break the head, and I'll happily leave that work to my grandkids. I haven't had any issues with the plastic being too soft and will update this review if that happens. All in all it's been a fantastic hammer so far, well worth paying twice as much as a fiberglass handled hammer.
