I didn't even have to add small shock pins while the vibration seems to be doing its job. I use a beep to increase the GOOD vibration to increase the BAD/STOP. I am currently in Florida helping a dear friend with her illness and she has many small wild rabbits on her property. Well, I have a greyhound, a Rhodesian Ridgeback, who loves nothing more than to hunt said rabbits. Their territory isn't fenced in so he's always on a leash when he goes outside, but when the bunny jumps out he can surprise and upset me even if I'm watching. Since I received the collar, we have done the rabbit test 3 times. On the second day we both saw the rabbit at the same time and I yelled "leave him alone" as he got ready to jump. I pressed the vibration once and it stopped immediately. When he stopped again to look for the rabbit, it was gone. Yesterday we had a double encounter with a rabbit. He saw a big one in the distance, I shouted, let it and strengthened it with vibration, and he immediately stopped. Then another little rabbit appeared to our right. He completely ignored it. We finished his potty, came back, the rabbit was still there, and we went straight back to the house on the leash. I will probably never need to use the shock function as it is very sensitive to vibrations.
