Review on Kayak Intex Challenger K1 274 cm, green/black by Franciszka Kargul ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good product for me, no problems at all.

The summer of 2022 was quite hot and allowed us to spend a lot of time on the water with this kayak. I managed to swim in a pond, a medium-sized river and a large reservoir. Everywhere the boat behaved quite reliably and predictably and allowed to get unforgettable emotions.

Pros
  • 1. Perhaps the best ratio "price-quality-functionality-reliability". Purchased by me for 7,100. and was one of the best purchases of my life in terms of value and enjoyment. 2. a complete set "all at once": kayak, seat, pump, paddle, bag. Bought-unpacked-pumped-floated. 3. quality: used all summer (about 12 swims and 25 km covered). everything is in perfect working order. I hope we will have a good winter and we will successfully develop water bodies next year. 4. Easily and quickly gets out of the box and is brought into "working condition" in just 10 minutes. 5. Relatively light: easy to carry, lower into the water and pull ashore even for one person. 6. Dries quickly in the sun after a swim 7. Comfortable mesh on the front of the nose: all the things you need to take with you can be folded and securely fastened 8. Comfortable landing with certain physical parameters of the rower (see the "disadvantages" section below) 9. Pretty fast: it allows you to get a speed of 2.5-3 km per hour with a smooth surface of the river.
Cons
  • 1. There is quite a bit of space in the front: if your height exceeds 175 cm, then your legs may be uncomfortable during long swims 2. it sails strongly and with even a small wind you will sail like a sailboat in the wind 3. when rowing, some water gets inside, so either you need to row very carefully, or be prepared that you may get wet. Accordingly, it is preferable to swim on a warm day. 4. Deflating the boat and its compact packaging requires some skill, because. it is rather difficult to expel the air from all the folds of the boat. The first time I had to tinker with packing for half an hour, then after the second or third time it went much faster.
