You can make larger sections with the side of the lead and save the tip for areas where you need a sharp line. If you have high-end pens, this can be a good saving. You want your pencils to last as long as possible. The long point of this sharpener is beautiful and the blades are sharp and precise. This pencil sharpener is a little different than the curvy ones you know from school. It has two holes, but they are not suitable for two different sizes of pens. Rather, the first hole is for shaping the tree and the second for shaping the pole. This allows him to reach such a long point. Kum pencil sharpeners already have a strong reputation for durable and sharp titanium blades. I already had one that I really liked but it didn't have a chip trap so I decided to upgrade it, especially when I saw this sharpener with a long point. I was not disappointed. I was a little confused as the sharpener arrived in what appears to be the same box as for an almost identical sharpener that also comes with a pencil pointer on the side for 2mm holder rods. It was stated on the packaging but it is not. (No problem, I didn't order a pencil with a lead, so I had no reason to expect it.) The only thing to note is that it can't work wonders with a pencil without a lead. right in the middle. Some of my Prismacolors have an uneven lead and it was impossible to get sharpness with this sharpener. However, the problem is really with the pencil, not the sharpener. An unevenly filled pencil will always be difficult to sharpen. (Derwent Colorsoft and Faber Castell Polychromos are colored pencils of similar quality but more centered).
