For a really sharp point

Some pencils have a hard lead designed for a very sharp and long point, and most pencil sharpeners cannot provide such a point. This KUM is useful and enjoyable. It has 2 holes. The first cuts the wood of the pencil into a long point, and then the second hole sharpens the shaft so you don't want to pierce yourself - it's sharp and can pierce skin. For this reason it is not for children. It also doesn't work with soft pens. And those with hard leads are their sharpeners. Including two spareโ€ฆ

Maybe that's fine for ordinary graphite pencils, but.

Not the best for my Derwent Inktense pens. The 1st hole does not appear to strip the wood paneling with smooth strips, but rather to shred the wood piece by piece. I think the Inktense pencils have a slightly wider body because I can't get them to sit deep enough in the 2nd hole to even sharpen the tip. The leads of my Prismacolor Premier and normal watercolor pencils constantly break out of their wooden bodies during use. That. However, every sharpener I've come across has broken myโ€ฆ

This is a 2-STAGE sharpener

I use it with Staedtler Mar Lumograph pencils and it's great for sketching. This is a 2-STAGE sharpener. For those unfamiliar with the two-stage sharpener, here is the process to follow. 1) Empty the shavings from the container so you can see the pencil being sharpened. 2) Gently sharpen the pencil on the side marked "1". ". This will sharpen the wood part of the pencil, and the graphite tip may look a bit odd and deformed. You can empty the container again to see what you do in the next stepโ€ฆ

  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Waiting takes too long

Great little sharpener

I have not been able to find a pencil sharpener that is as gentle on the Premier Prismacolor soft pencils as this one is. This is my mother's favorite sharpener and she mourned her last one. The only reason I lowered the price is because it's expensive for sharpeners and the last one was easily destroyed by my nephew when he was using it (we've only had it for 2 years). Yes, maybe he's evolving into someone who hasn't learned to control his powers or been taught (by his parents) to look out for

game changer! in office and school supplies

I used to think that all pencil sharpeners are about the same. NOT SO! This two stage sharpener is amazing! Remember that your sharpening technique also plays a role in the success of your sharpening. If you find you aren't getting a clean cut, hold the pencil steady and rotate the sharpener instead of rotating the pencil in the sharpener. This little inexpensive pencil sharpener gave me the prettiest long tips on my crayons. So far I've used it for Prismacolors, but I'm going to useโ€ฆ

This sharpener is the best I've ever used

This sharpener is the best I've ever used. For some perspective I've used all of these sharpeners, plus some electric and cheap manual sharpeners: Alvin Brass Bullet Sharpener Staedtler(R) Metal 2 Hole Pencil Sharpener (Assorted) Staedtler Manual Pencil Sharpener (STD51163) Colors and packaging may vary Kum 104.06.01 Magnesium Alloy Steel 1-Hole Pencil Sharpener While these other sharpeners are easier to use on the go, I don't NEED to take this sharpener with me when I go somewhere. great moment

Why buy a long-pointed sharpener? One reason is that it takes a little longer to blunt, allowing for better use of the lead. You also have more control over your shots. You can make larger sections with the side of the lead and save the tip for areas where you need a sharp line. If you have high-end pens, this can be a good saving. You want your pencils to last as long as possible. The long point of this sharpener is beautiful and the blades are sharp and precise. This pencil sharpener is aโ€ฆ

Great pencil sharpener!

To keep my crayons sharp I've tried dozens of sharpeners, from the expensive electric and cordless to the cheapest and most basic manual ones, each ranging from 7 cents to 50 cents. This is the best I've found so far. I won't go into the mechanics like other reviews do, except to reiterate that sharpening with KUM is a two-step process that cannot be reduced to one. In the first stage, the wood is cut off, and in the second stage, graphite, wax or some other material that makes up the pencil is
