They were easy to install (or as easy as window seals) and kept our house warm in the winter. However, when I tried to take them off in the spring, the double-sided tape wouldn't peel cleanly. It stripped the paint off several of our window frames, and on one window I couldn't get the tape off at all, even with reliable solvents like Tacky. All that was left on the window sill was disgusting strips of yellow tape, it's disgusting. And large strips of paint were torn off on other windows. This is a good view. Overall I'd say about 10% of the tape came loose as it should; the other 90% remained damaged or still there. About me: I have used different types of window plastic almost every winter for the past 10 years. About a year or two we move to a new apartment, so I put insulators like this on a lot of different windows. I know what I am doing. I've never dealt with a tape that was so frustrating and destructive. I will definitely not buy this again!
