When I received the blanket and used it for the first time, it was so soft and comfortable. It made me feel safe. Unfortunately I had severe back pain for 3 or 4 days. I ordered a 20 pound king size duvet. When I did some research on the internet I found that I should have gotten a blanket that was 10% my weight, I only weigh 135 pounds so I really needed a 13 to 14 pound blanket instead of 20 pounds. I've also looked online to see if other people have had back pain from using a weighted blanket and there have been a few people who have had the same back problems from using a weighted blanket. Weighted blankets are said to actually help with back pain, but for me it was the exact opposite. I'm sorry the blanket was so comfortable. My husband weighs 240 pounds and didn't care at all.
