Parts overview and 30 minute installation guide without removing the generator.

First of all: the image provided is of a different part. The part you receive will be very different. To remove the factory oil pressure sensor you don't need to remove the alternator as many say. Removing the generator takes a lot of time, it's just troublesome. My way of doing it is simpler and works well. Replacement instructions: 1. Loosen the hose clamp around the inlet. This is a flat round clamp nut.2. Disconnect the sensor that connects to the air intake box and set the top of this air box aside.3. Take a 3/4 ratchet and insert it into the square of the belt tensioner.4. With one hand, pull back on the tensioner and with the other hand remove the belt from the alternator pulley.5. Everything is more complicated here. Insert it into the slot with a standard size flat head screwdriver. The place where you insert it is between the top part, the red part of the sliding clip, and the bottom part, the plug itself. Once inserted, press down and the plastic will come loose. Once disconnected, don't worry as the connector will latch securely later without the top red pin sliding. Now that the red sliding clip is removed at the top we can proceed.6. Grab the connector and move it until it starts to move. The plug will come straight out after a while when you pull. Again, if pulled straight out, it comes straight out. You may have to move it for a second. Do not pull on wires. Tighten the connector firmly by hand on each side.7. If the sensor is removed, lubricate the connector with a degreaser, do not use brake fluid cleaner. You can use rubbing alcohol or dish soap if you like. Remove all oil from the connector and after cleaning, blow it out with an air can or air hose, at least try to dry it. 7. Place the 1-11/16" deep swivel head on the transducer as it is seated, attach the ratchet and gently turn counterclockwise. 8. Since this new sensor will not fit into standard ports, you probably do not have the correct port for it. Take it Take the new sensor and insert it into the 22mm 12 point socket Put a twist on it and start twisting the strands It will take some time to find the right place but you should be able to get it back to its original location after about 5 minutes of trying.Insert as much of it as you can then gently tighten with the attached ratchet. As the 22m is not over the sensor but over the plastic end of the connector you have to be slow and careful but you should be able to tighten it well you don't have to try to torque this thing to 95 lb-ft of torque just gently push it through it's not Ra dauge, okay, it's got teflon on it, just put it on tight.9. Put the connector back on the sensor. It snaps securely onto the sensor even without the top red sliding clip. Reattach the strap, reinstall the filter assembly, reattach the sensor to the air inlet and tighten the clamp.10. Start the car and check the psi engine light until it goes off. Note: You may see the sensor reading as high as 50 when idle. It's normal and everything will be back to normal soon after we're done. 11. Now you need to clean up the code; If you don't have a code scanner, just take it to an auto parts store and have them read the code and then clean it. If you have a code scanner: start the car, scan, clean, turn off the car and start again. And everything is ready.
