I've been trying to get rid of plastic storage but for some things plastic works better. These containers close well and tightly, keep the contents fresh and are light in weight. They are well done. I have a few that I've been using for over ten years. I've bought several glass jars with the same style of lids as these and have had trouble closing them properly. Never had problems like this with these. Also, being older and having arthritis, it can be a bit difficult to lift a filled glass container of this size. I use glass as much as possible, but in this case I'm sticking with plastic.
