I'm a DIYer, not a professional. I chose 5/8 bamboo floors in my dining room and family room. I've been warned that the wood (actually grass) is at least twice as strong as red oak and I'd need good table and miter saws and hacksaw blades. The blades I had were ordinary saws I only used for cutting pine, and the cuts sometimes leave ragged fragments. My research has shown that they will do the job. I might have gotten away with a lower tooth blade, but I am very happy with the decision to buy a 60 tooth blade. The cuts were surprisingly smooth and fast. I had to use boards on a table saw that hardly break under pressure. It even seemed like it had even less pressure than the old blade chopping jaws. There were no burn marks on the cuts until I was almost done with the second floor. The blade still feels sharp, but definitely less sharp than when it started. My experience is limited but it exceeded my expectations which is why it gets 5 stars.
