Review on 🔧 FRAM Extra Guard PH2 Oil Filter: Reliable 10K Mile Change Interval Spin-On Filter by Daniel Aboubakar

The only filter I will fit on my 2002 Ford Ranger XLT 4.0 SOHC. On this engine, the filter sits so high behind the bell housing that it is simply impossible to reach and turn with a wrench. My only real choices are to pay a lot more for welded-on hex filters, pay someone else to change the oil, or use Fram Extra Guard. The Fram Extra Guard filter handle allows you to install and remove this filter without tools. I've never had a problem with this line of filters, including the 40 or so PH2 filters I've had on the Ranger. I don't care about regular oils and regular change intervals at the moment. (For extended life fully synthetic vehicles, I remain Mobil 1's oil and filter customer; everything else goes to Fram & Quaker State.)
