Great idea but soft metal
I ordered this item with a "truly invisible" โ " stainless steel cable head and tail, however, as of May 26, 2021, the stainless metal used to make these lag screws is incredibly soft. A tiny lag bolt head that requires a "custom socket wrench" to lightly tighten the bolt strips and a "custom wrench" made from the same material, the strips are just as easy. I ordered a spare wrench to help me do that complete project.
- REUSABLE - This invisible lag screw is beginner friendly. Normal cable railing hardware needs to be crimped and if you get the wrong size you'll have to start over. However, this tensioner can be reused by just swapping out the bushing whenever you want to remeasure or rebuild the system. This pack can make 20 cable runs.
