Work perfectly and are very bright. There is no left or right as they are both the same (lower license plate light and no side marker light). The threaded studs on the rear are molded into the plastic backing, so you have to drill the existing holes in the tub where the standard 1/4" self-tapping screws were. I installed them in a set of Rugged Ridge taillight guards and I had to just cut about 1/4" the length of the studs to insert into the shields. There are no instructions as to what color the wire does what. So with the charger and some clamps I found that white is ground, red is brake/turn signals, black is tail light and amber is reverse light. Since the stock wiring harness is not grounded (it was removed with mounting screws), I soldered a contact tip to a white wire and connected it to one of the threaded studs where the light is attached. Then I simply cut the stick connector off the existing lights and soldered it to the remaining 3 wires on those lights. Works perfect.
