Shower Drain Slow

I didn't want to skimp on a valve so I paid for this morning valve. However, it is brand new and installed by a specialist company. it has a slow leak after the first day from the shower head. I don't have a bathroom door so it drips all night. My wife gives me a "look". not sure how to fix drops. It's brand new! Any ideas?
