Review on Cordiant Road Runner 185/65 R15 88H summer by Michal Wojcik ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good product, I recommend that you try it.

This tire has one important plus - versatility, it really rides both on the highway and on the ground (but without fanaticism! - wet gr, wet soil, light sand). While I am looking at the products of foreign tire manufacturers - there are about five models that should also be universal, although who knows, maybe Cordiant will slightly modify the RoadRunners. But, I repeat, since I have a car without noise, the main selection criterion was acoustic comfort (I hit the mark) and at the same time take my for mushrooms and fishing. If they could improve their quality, I'll put 5 stars, but for now four with a minus. PS. The service life of this tire is 2 years at comfort, 3 years with tire rustling, 4 at maximum speed. Wear is small after 4 years, to the touch the tire is not plastic, but rubber, but already noisy - Kama 217 for the 4th year was like a plastic basin. I keep it warm in winter, in dark bags, maybe that's why I left it for 4 years. The weight of a tire in size 185/60 r14 is 6.8 kg, I would say that this is an excellent result, given that you can fearlessly rub curbs with your sidewall.

Pros
  • 1. On good coverage - silent. 2. Soil / sand - I did not expect such cross-country ability, I don’t understand what it clings to, but it drags. (Kama 217, for example, immediately burrowed in the sand, even while walking, I drive through the Runners in the same places - a large, non-toothed pattern helps. Kama 217 goes better through the mud, but stupidly throws in all directions, fall into Erik like two fingers on asphalt, Runners either go straight or not go, all. ) 3. When buying a couple of years ago - the price. 4. Sold in any tire store. 5. Strong sidewall - forged the forging, the tire is alive. 6. Water flows on asphalt are not afraid of the word at all. while fresh.
Cons
  • 1. The main drawback is the floating quality of Cordiant, but judging by the less and less negative reviews, something or someone is trying to fight it. Of my 4 tires, one went into uneven wear, with a serviceable and adjusted suspension. 2. On granular asphalt, it buzzes, makes noise. 3. Can pull out on the ground from a fierce on a fishing trip, and at the same time can get stuck in the yard in a cat's piss. 4. Someone wrote in the comments, I also note the tendency to puncture the running area - it is really too tender, a very strange solution with a "concrete" sidewall
