A staple in our kitchen. Scotch-Brite (3m) is one of the few brands we're loyal to because its predictable "scratchability" means we know exactly what it does (stainless steel, cast iron, glass, enamel) or doesn't (Teflon and most other materials) . sticky surfaces, plastic, melamine) are suitable. For the same reason we use Scotch-Brite sponges with a colour-coded abrasive base: pink (very soft), blue (universal) or green (rough, for quick removal of hard surfaces). These sponges are pretty big. I cut them in half lengthwise so they last longer.
