I wanted the same viewing experience on my laptop as I have on my desktop. I bought two of these (one for me, one for a partner). One arrived broken, but I didn't realize it until I was almost done installing it. The other worked and produced great quality footage but was a little flimsy and I didn't think it would take the knocks that come with moving around a lot with your laptop, screen and other gear in your backpack. I sent both back with no problems.
