This review relates to the mattress cover and pillowcases: I initially liked this rug because the material is surprisingly cool. However, I don't feel cool through the sheets. Over time I've found that they just aren't worth the high price tag for a variety of reasons. Here's what I don't like: - The material is cool to the touch (which is great) but very inconvenient to clean. You can't just mix this material with other bedding - it needs to be washed cold and soft. Pre-treatment of stains is not permitted - the warranty is void. I had a mattress topper and 2 pillow protectors for about 6 months. I have found that despite following the care instructions, the coolness diminishes with every wash. They say it's eco-friendly and safe, but I can't help but wonder what chemicals go into this stuff to make it cool. I believe (and could definitely be wrong) that there must be chemicals that produce coolness since the coolness decreases with every wash. I really hope they are really safe! - the price is ridiculous - the material is slippery so the pillowcases don't stay on the pillows (I've tried cotton, tencel, microfiber and organic cotton-tencel blend). All the pillowcases are slipping off at once which is driving me insane - I don't feel chilly from pillowcases or sheets. I called the company to ask about this and they said it is difficult to freeze through cotton sheets and that most people find that tencel makes them freeze better. I don't feel any better coolness from tencel than cotton. I haven't tried silk or bamboo yet - maybe it would be better with these materials? - The material is very prone to pilling. Do not allow anyone (especially pets) on this rug without a sheet - damage happens quickly. I really, really wanted to love these products. I sleep very hot and so tired of sweating at night. I'm so desperate I was even willing to pay that money for relief. I wish I could save my money. Conclusion: difficult to maintain, so expensive. And no relief from night sweats.
