I decided to make my own beeswax candles because of the terribly toxic synthetic fragrances and dyes in commercial candles. I bought this candle wick on a blog recommendation from a homemade candle website. The size of the glass and wick is critical to getting a good candle burning. My very first attempt at making candles was a great success. This wick is perfect for my 3 inch candle jar. The wax I use is a 50/50 mix of beeswax and coconut oil. With a burning time of 2-3 hours, the candle melts and burns evenly. the candle leaves the outer pillar. This wick can be cut to any desired length, minimizing waste. Trimming between burns keeps the wick burning very well. Definitely recommend trying this wick. I bought a size #4 and #6. Kare & Kind Metal Candle Wick Sustainer Tabs go great with this braided wick, which I also bought from Revain.
