This portable unit comes in handy when moving large and heavy items onto a moving truck (large tool cabinets, chests and drawers, etc). I am not sure about the maximum capacity (1000lbs), but it had no trouble pulling items up a ramp in the sub 800lb range. Also great for motorcycle towing (loading on pickup truck), ATV's, and Jet ski's. Unit is fairly lightweight (under 24lbs), and very portable (very small footprint), and easily stored in hatch or trunk for daily use. Powered by 2Ah 48V rechargeable battery, but I would opt for the optional 4Ah unit after purchase for maximum efficiency and convenience. Has a built in carry handle, comes with a single battery, and charger. Shackle is HD and easy to attach/detach. Works well so far. Seems like a good value for those that need to quickly tow, move or pull heavy objects on the go and away from a traditional hardwired power source.
