great little magnet I use for picking up nails I remove from busting down pallets and other old wood items. I've got a string attached and just float it over the area and it works wonders. Great purchase

Funny that "Easy to remove" is a feature that Best Buy wants to rate. I gave it 1 star because it's hard to remove. Isn't that the point of a strong magnet? If you put a sock over it before you stick it to something then it is easier to remove.

This is a great magnet! I wanted to try magnet fishing and bought this magnet. It has a good surface area for more chances to grab metal under water. I even used it around my yard and it pulled a nail out through the dirt! The only thing I would recommend is adding some thread locker to keep the screw from coming out. I bought this to replace my old 888 LB magnet that I got snagged in the river. Upon receiving my package, I immediately realized that this was substantially less strong than my 888. Works on small items, but medium/large items are out of the question. WEAK MAGNET. I would estimate 550LB pull force.

It's strong but I can pull it off a steel air tank with not much effort. I'm geussing maybe 50 or 60 lbs. Definitely false advertising. Wish now if saved my money because it's do much hassle to send an item back. I can't recommend it

If you need a very strong magnet this is definitely one to consider. It's not oversized and it has an eye bolt for easy attaching of lines hooks, etc. BTW, if you're into bondage, use your imagination!

WOW! grabbed part of a dock tie and had difficulty getting them separated! Worried if it grabs a pipeline underwater I may have to cut my line and leave it. Wish it had a 'shut off' .

Great magnet. I suggest to anybody who purchases it to put it in a sock before using it. It will scratch sliding it off and the sock will also make it more slippery and easy to remove.

Transmission pan external magnet. It's tuff it sure isn't coming off of my Transmission pan without a fight . It's a great powerful magnet for a even greater price.
