Needed an alternative solution for our office windows. We get LOTS of sun since the windows face South and West, but our apartment came with vertical blinds that just don't do much good when they're as ancient as the building and virtually impossible to move. These curtains did the trick. The grey color is a deep silver, and it has a satiny finish that gives a matte, velvety sheen. Blocks out the sun when/where we need it to, but also being able to draw them half up/down on either side has been very useful in shading certain pieces of equipment/areas in the office while still letting in light. They come a little wrinkly out of the package, so if you're a stickler on clean edges you might want to iron them before hanging.
