Be sure to follow the instructions to fit the lid and filter onto the jug! I ignored the instructions and what a mess I made pouring myself a glass of water! extend filter life. I was amazed at the difference in the taste of the water! It's delicious, but unlike any other filtered water I've tried, it's better. I had a runny nose and bronchitis when my jug and filter arrived. DIRECT WARNING: Every glass of water I drank made me cough up phlegm (phew!) and it tasted like mild hydrogen peroxide. I kept drinking water and I swear I got better faster than without water. I also noticed a significant improvement in my energy levels. I don't think this product claims this side effect but it was true for me. I suffer from chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia, among other things. For health reasons, I rarely go outside - and if I have to, I usually need 2-3 days to recover. Since drinking this water I have more energy and hope it will help heal my body from within. I reviewed many jugs of filtered water before settling on this one. I am very happy with my final decision! I was not paid or offered for my review, it is 100% honest.
