I had almost no experience with MacOS, I sat on Windows all my life and it suited me. There was a question about buying a laptop. At first I looked in the direction of Lenovo, HP, Huawei - for a price comparable to a MacBook, you can buy a "machine" with good characteristics from them. But to broaden my horizons, I decided to still purchase a laptop from Apple, especially since the reviews about the M1 chip are extremely positive. I chose between Air and Pro for a long time, but I decided that the touchbar and active cooling were not worth the overpayment (looking ahead, Iβll say that this turned out to be the right decision). So, I took Air 8Gb on the M1 chip . The first two or three days I had to experience the "pain" of switching from Windows, especially while working on the default Mac keyboard layout. Then I figured out trackpad gestures, software installation, Mission Control and layout. And this is where I started to get high. After almost two months of use, I literally every second get great pleasure from working on this "machine". I gave my working PC in the office to my colleagues, now I work only on a macbook (despite the fact that I have to work a lot with large spreadsheets). Homes also use only this laptop. We can safely say that it was created specifically for WORK: when you need to switch a lot between windows and applications, when you need to show something to colleagues at a meeting, when you need to work on a trip. Compact size, light weight, good battery, awesome trackpad and cool keyboard allow you to comfortably work from anywhere, whether it's a home sofa or public transport. In general, with the iPhone 11 and iPad, I never managed to touch the "Magic of Apple", but with Air, I finally understood what was at stake. If you're looking for a laptop to work with, especially when you need to travel a lot with it, I'll say one thing - take the MacBook Air and don't hesitate. It is difficult for me to imagine a scenario where this purchase will not bring satisfaction. Unless we're talking about some specific software or very deep-rooted Windows habits. It is worth every spent.
