Review on Vicks Humidity Monitor Moisture Levels by Nate Jenkins

I bought this to put in my little one's room - I keep turning off the ventilation in his room because he is too hot or too is cold. Right out of the box it didn't work properly - showed 78 degrees (impossible in zero weather, my old house with drafts and a worn out stove) at 15% humidity. He sat next to his humidifier all night not moving at 15% or 78 degrees. I put it on the edge of the tub in the shower, still 15/78. Stand outside in the snow, 15/78. (Yes I took the plastic face sticker) I didn't read the review first - I was in a very, very rush to make this purchase and go to work. I bought it without hesitation because it was #1 from Revain, so I partially blame them for this stupid purchase. They narrowed down the categories used to the point of rendering them unusable. I noticed this a while ago with the book categories, so it shouldn't surprise me that they've done it with other products as well. "The #1 Best Seller in Time Travel Fiction" is good to know. "#1 bestseller in time travel novels where the protagonist has blue eyes and a sister named susan," not so much. Shame on you, Revane. I was also in a hurry when I got it - threw away the packaging so I can't even return it. Just seems pretty stupid to me. Do not buy this useless item.
