So, for starters, they do their job. They're a little darker than I thought they would be, but they glow quite well in the stillness of the night. Here's what they look like: It's a thin (about 1/3 inch thick) plastic lantern. The transparent part is glued or electronically welded to the black substrate. Each light has a 1/8" foam sticker that you stick on the back. Each has a + and - wire. About 22 gauge. They're pretty straightforward and do the job. WHY only 4 stars? Well, these aren't stock lights By that I mean all the other boats and trailers I've seen have some sort of "built in" bottom to the surface, when you screw in one side of the light either the screw is touching some bottom or there is a little one Ground terminal on the back which has a terminal that the screw goes through and then makes contact with the pendant As there is no such 'built in' ground for the lamp I had to run a new ground in series to each of the lamps and plug it in. Not that much but it took about 3 times as long to install and I had to get wires and shrink fittings which almost doubled the cost of installation due to the low cost of these bulbs.I would buy them again fen. In fact, I received 2 packs and there are still a few bulbs left. I'm trying to figure out where to put them on my 6x15 cargo trailer. or my boat.
