Like many others, I've found that you have to adjust the receiver farther from the base because the bolt doesn't retract far enough. In this case, the bolt doesn't go far enough into the receiver to be safe. In the attached pictures you can see a small bridge between the bolt hole and this small hole. To make it work you need to take a small cutting wheel on your dremel and cut out this bridge to allow the bolt to go further into the base. (It should look like the last picture when finished) This allows you to mount the receiver closer to the base and have a more secure latch when deployed. That's a lot of work that shouldn't be there. But if you have already spent the money. If only they had designed it a little better.
