This product is very simple. A contour gauge is useful, but under certain circumstances and definitely not for every project. This product is a good option for those who work with recreating unusual angles or shapes in woodworking. The product is almost entirely made of plastic (except for the locking mechanism) and is available in 5" and 10" versions. I've found them to work just as well as any other contour gauges I've used, with an easy glide and a secure grip when engaged. As with most other contour gauges, I found it necessary to use a finger or stylus to push the contour gauge anywhere there were small corners or cracks as they didn't always fill small spaces. This is easily manageable with simple attention to detail and hasn't negatively impacted any of my projects. Conclusion: If you are looking for a good value contour knife, look no further.
