I don't think a gamer with a discerning eye will like this thing. Ghosting and (actual) response time are incredibly poor. At both 100Hz and 60Hz, there wasn't a setting that prevented moving objects from leaving long, blurry trails. TERRIBLE for competitive games with high refresh rates, TERRIBLE for games with stunning graphics because they are DESTROYED by blur. It is even noticeable when scrolling in the browser. Don't bother overclocking to 120Hz; There's a reason it's not listed as the default refresh rate, and even if it were, the insane ghosting would prevent it from being worth it anyway. The only good thing I can say is that the color reproduction isn't bad and the large screen size makes photo editing or other digital art a pleasure.
