I bought this module when I was upgrading from a 622 to a 922. My 622 had a built in OTA tuner but my 922 didn't. I ordered and received this before Dish released the upgrade receiver so installation was easy as I was able to install it before the tech had connected everything to the entertainment system. The technician even said he would do it for me since I had everything ready to install. Once the tuner has booted up (which takes forever on the 922) you can easily add live channels yourself (instructions included or online on Dish). If you are upgrading your receiver and it will be a few days before a technician can bring the receiver in for an upgrade, order one, it's cheaper than buying through Dish, the technician will install it for you and even help you set it up / program.
