Full Disclosure: After I submitted my previous review, the company contacted me several times to pay me to review one of the stars I refused to remove. They recently contacted me again and said they had solved the issues I was having and asked if I would consider it again. The engine got hot quickly and started to smell a little (like burnt dust or maybe industrial grease) so after about 5 pounds of meat we let it sit for 3-5 minutes. The heat and smell definitely bothered me a bit and I'll report back if repeated use causes problems. Cleaning the device was fairly easy, rinsing the meat with hot water and none of it getting stuck in a hard-to-reach spot. Use a mild detergent and allow to air dry. A piece of silver leather wrapped around the blade was found during operation which may have contributed to the heat/odor (engine overload). I was concerned that metal dust had formed as a result of the worm gears interacting with the motor gears, but I hope this is normal wear and tear - there is no visible damage to either gear. The tightness appears to be complete, preventing dust from contaminating the flesh. Previous Review: The main issue with this product is that it was advertised as "All nozzles are made of food grade material and 420 stainless steel". After completing the exam and running some tests, this is clearly not the case. Only the blade and the sanding pad are made of stainless steel. The product is also advertised as having "3 sanding pads (fine/2mm, medium/5mm, 7mm/coarse)". I only received the rough sanding plate with no extra space in the box to indicate that two extra plates should have been included. i will return it
