My driver side controls didn't work with the passenger side window. This fixed it. If you have a similar problem where the window works on the door but not on the driver's door, this will most likely fix it. According to other reviews, this is a common problem. The installation video (Utube) showed you how to take a screwdriver or I would use a plastic pry bar to remove the cover on the doorknob. Unscrew and remove the 2 10mm screws. Using the switches, pry the pad up from the front of the pad (towards the motor). The video shows the removal of the entire switch. I didn't do this as it was easier to loosen (squeeze) the two cable connectors and then spread the sides of the case apart (two clips on each side) to remove just the problematic part. Plug it back in and you're done. I understand why some of the reviewers said you can just clean the contacts and the switches will work again. Getting off is really easy. I could also buy a GM copy for half price, but I only wanted to fix it once. I might buy a fake as it was REALLY easy to replace. Now I can control all my windows and the world is back in the valley. I was very worried about having to remove the door panel but it was great.
