Like all others, these bedside lamp bulbs are very short. They're pretty cheap too. So I give good grades because they are so helpful! The base has a built in USB plug as well as a power socket, in addition to lighting up the tap instead of turning on the light, making it useful enough to make a very good bedside lamp. I'm used to being small. They look decent due to their design. The lampshade comes in a roll that wraps around the top and bottom round wire circles. Having no mechanical skills whatsoever, I learned the hard way that you first need to wrap the lampshade around the bottom circle and secure it with velcro before wrapping the top wire. I made one of the lamps different and the lampshade didn't fit properly and I was disappointed. That's when I learned that it depends on how the umbrella is attached. First I reattached the bottom bar and everything fitted perfectly. I regularly use the USB socket at night to charge my cell phone. It works! And it's very convenient. I don't really miss the lead crystal lamps I had before that broke accidentally.
