Perfect for replacing the brake light bulb socket. Before the replacement, the brake light stopped working and I had to shake the socket on the non-working bulb. This item worked, but had some odd properties. At first it didn't work on the side it was replacing but it worked great when I swapped the stock bulb socket from the working side to the other side and then it worked on the other side. Really weird because they aren't designed to be sensitive on one side or the other. Second, the error message kept appearing even though the light was working. After a few days he recognized the new lamp socket and no longer reported that the lamp was defective. About a week later it came back on and I checked the light was working and hasn't since. Oddly enough, it's worth the minor inconvenience considering how much I saved by doing the repair myself instead of buying the part from the dealer. A strange thing at Revain/Manufacturer: The item did not arrive at my address. I called Revain and explained that other products from the same seller are being shipped and that the manufacturer is in the neighboring country. They referred me to the manufacturer who told me only Revain could fix the problem. None of them took responsibility for an apparent error in the ordering platform.
