Review on 🚽 Efficient Universal Toilet Fill Valve: Korky 528 in Sleek Black Design by Kenneth Cotton

Slow drop-drop fill, but the main work is done.

Yes, this kit will fix your running toilet, and yes, it's pretty easy to install. But it's not magic and it's quiet, and it's about the same quality as any other plastic inflation valve and dampener. I think it's a technological advancement over the old floating ball machine, but not that much. does his job. Messy aside, installing this kit is pretty easy: turn off the water, lock and tighten the height of the valve, cut and attach the fill tube and replace the damper, turn the water back on. The instructions are very clear in all the exact details for each step, it's quite hard to go wrong here. Unfortunately my valve has a fairly constant top leak as it fills the tank. I hear a steady "plop-plop-plop" sound as the water flows down during the fill time (which, by the way, is much longer than the previous valve). So that pretty much ruins the QuietFill feature of this kit. Maybe I just got a broken one, but I shouldn't try to replace it again as it doesn't affect the main functionality. The whole mechanism looks like flimsy, cheap plastic, so I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't last long. But ultimately, it's an inexpensive and easy way to solve your toilet problem. Just as good or bad as any other valve kit.
