I've been looking for a portable Blu-ray DVD player for a long time and found/chosen this one. I wanted a Blu-ray player that didn't need to be plugged into an outlet. Also, I wanted one that didn't have "pins". I chose this one because it just plugs in and works. I love the idea of a USB connection so I can plug this player into my laptop anywhere and it will work. while it works fine. Just a word of caution, if you're using a Surface laptop for whatever reason, it may not play the DVD/or Blu-ray you've chosen. I had to download a separate program to play my DVD. It seems to work fine on my MacBook Pro.
