Review on LEM Non Stick Adjustable Burger Press by Juan Harrington

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works great after experimenting --

This press is reliable and very easy to use. You'll have to experiment with portions for your desired size patties, but after that, it works great. Each patty has the same size and thickness due to the fine adjustment with markings. I use store bought cake paper on top and bottom, even though the product says "non-stick". The papers also make it easy to place in ziplock freezer bags. This press is made of lightweight aluminum that will not rust. Cleaning is pretty easy, no need to take it apart. However, being raw meat, I take it apart after the last use for a thorough hand wash/dry. It only takes a few minutes to disassemble and reassemble. I can make the perfect 1/4 pound burger by placing the meat in a 2/3 measuring cup. Loosen the meat, roll into a ball, place on the base plate and squeeze out the burger. Scrape off excess flesh with your finger and save for later. A pound of ground beef is about three quarters of a pound. Please note that I have only one "minus" on this press. There are no rubber bumpers on the base to prevent slipping during use. I use the small silicone heating pad below to fix this problem.
