I bought this for 2 different purposes. I was repainting my kitchen cabinets and wasn't happy with the flat look of the white semi-gloss latex I used. I wanted a shinier look since you can't use an oil base over latex. I used this to cover white cabinets, it was ok. It's still not the high gloss I was aiming for, but definitely better than before. The second use was to add glitter to the wall and seal it so it could be cleaned if needed. You can add glitter to the cling film straight away and after it dries you can use it as a top coat to give it an extra seal. I wouldn't call it shiny, but it worked fine. I'm attaching some photos in case anyone wants to use it with glitter.
