This is great for continuity testing. This helped me narrow down the problem with two HDMI devices and different cables. The manual lists all the pins and you can search the internet to find out what they actually mean. A good HDMI cable will show green for everything. A good HDMI to DVI to HDMI cable is only missing 13 and 14. Everything else is missing and you have a cut cable. couples. With a 6 foot cable this would be fine, but with a 25 foot cable this is a big problem. Plus it's cheap. Totally worth buying this (and the 9V battery it requires) if you're dealing with HDMI issues.
