If the valve is leaking up - On the inside of the valve (straight down, water flowing through its center) there may be a socket head cap screw that has come loose. I ordered a replacement because mine started leaking after about 6 months but it turned out the old one only needed a pull, it's still perfectly fine. Overall a very solid build compared to some others, the body is mostly plastic. So calling it "sheet metal" would be a stretch, but it's pretty good.
