I really want my 14 month old son to love this hat as much as I do! He is very strong and cute! I don't usually like bucket hats because they can look a bit silly, especially with patterns; However, the dark gray color of this hat is very classy and simple. The construction is impeccable. The biggest problem is that my son has a head in the 99th percentile and the size 2T-4T is the ONLY size for his head (at 14 months). It may last about a month but will still be tight. Since he has a day at the beach ahead of him, I'll work with him a bit more before practicing carrying it; Maybe distract him so he stops taking it off! It has a long strap that can be used or not. Bonus sun protection SPF 50! It might not be the fastest drying hat when wet, but it does keep the sun off his face (if he's actually wearing it, lol). I think this size fits most 1-2 year olds with an average head size. Great quality for the good workmanship (and it packs into our diaper bag and doesn't seem to wrinkle).
