Review on 🔌 03212 East Penn Duplex Jacketed Brake Wire by Ryan Whatley

After a complete mechanical and electrical failure on our last trip I had to replace the entire braking system on our 2013 caravan and decided that since the OEM cables needed to be replaced, I would use two separate 12GA cables. Cables from the front junction box to each axis to minimize power losses and provide redundancy in the event of a single cable link failure. I chose this cable because it came with a variety of wire sizes, suitable lengths, and at a competitive price. I completed the job and was generally impressed with how the cable was packaged and "handled" during the fitting and installation process. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the individual strands of copper that make up the conductor in each wire seem to be thicker than I would like (i.e. each wire in the cable is slightly stiffer than I wanted). expected) as it must be able to flex permanently where it is directed down from the trailer frame towards the axle while the trailer is being towed. I made sure each cable is in a wire bundle and has a stress-free "wave" in that area so it can follow each axis as it moves up and down without even a hint of binding or tension , but as an engineer - electrician with decades of experience installing systems. I believe this cable would be better suited to the intended application if it was more flexible.
